Happy Birthday, Eeyore!

Stephen, Samuel and Maya celebrated Eeyore's birthday today with the rest of Austin's ecclectic. Steve called me during the party and was so excited to see the "Tin Man" and to relive Eeyore's Party from the olden days :-) Maya acquired a dragon face paint at the park.

Sam also had a soccer game this morning. He scored two goals! After the game he insisted on calling Grandmary to tell her he scored a goal for her. I always tell him how proud his Uncle Adam would be of him after he has played a good game.

Following the sports theme, we went bowling yesterday. Maya really got into it (the first time bowling for her), but Samuel didn't bowl because he didn't want to put on the bowling shoes. I won, but Stephen received the "Best Form" award.

We have had beautiful weather and are enjoying the hammock daily.

We set up a scavenger hunt this afternoon where Sam & Maya had to read and follow the clues. Samuel didn't think he could read the notes, but ended up doing just fine. The final clue lead them to the DVD player where a new Fire & Ice Dragon movie was awaiting them. Good times!

Also, Stephen caught Maya in the act of brushing her hair in front of the bathroom mirror yesterday. She was all dressed with her cell phone attached to her belt. I told her to not grow up too fast, and she said, "But, Mom, I want to grow up too fast!"
