Home Sweet Home

We made it! The truck held steady without overdrive all day! We stopped at Hondo's in Fredericksburg for dinner. They had live music and it was so nice to be back in Texas...friendly people, a warm evening and songs about beer!

We stopped by Drippings Springs to pick up Bella at our dear friends' home who showered her with love while we were gone. She was a little confused about leaving with us, but was so happy to see Little Dog (Rex wasn't so sure why he had to share us and deal with a big dog running after him). Upon returning home, we had so many pets waiting for us! Our pet-sitters did a good job of keeping everybody alive. Max couldn't get enough love and our little chick had doubled in size and changed colors from brown to white! It was a good thing to be on Pacific time so we could start unpacking and get organized until midnight with no problem. I woke up a couple times in the night thinking I was in the camper with the windows zipped down and ever so glad to be in my comfy bed with air conditioning instead!
