Crater Lake to Ashland

We went to Crater Lake National Park yesterday. It was a Saturday. It was July. It was busy!! Of course, the park was beautiful and still had snow on the rim, so the kids had their last fun in snow for the summer.

We came off the mountain and it was hot! I think it may have been 80 degrees! We even put on the air conditioner! Thankfully, our transition back to 100 degree weather will be gradual.

We camped last night at Jackson Wellsprings where our friend, Brian Johnson, is living. It is in Ashland and hippy heaven! There is a pool and hot tub fed by hot mineral springs. It is so good to see Brian and catch up. The kids are having fun playing with Shanti & Vashti. I'm actually having fun playing with Vashti, too :) We are staying another night before heading to Redwood National Park.
