Yesterday, we drove to Couer d'Alene, Idaho. What a beautiful drive! Most of the time we were following a wide, full river that kept calling my name to raft it! Any return trip will definitely include a paddle trip later in the summer.
The troops are getting weary on me getting up so early every morning, so yesterday the morale was a little low during the drive. We found the last camping spot anywhere last night since it's not only 4th of July weekend, but also Canada Day on the 1st! It is a beautiful spot in a National Forest Reserve...Beauty Creek. Sam & Maya spent the evening playing in the COLD little creek! Little Dog even voluntarily waded into it's "beauty." We were all in bed by 8p & asleep by 8:30! Of course, we are in the Pacific Time zone now, so I got to sleep in until 5a...crazy!
Today we are headed to North Cascades National Park (if the troops ever wake up)!
