Day 4-Montana!

Day 4-531 miles, 2036 miles total (so far)

Yesterday, we drove clear across Montana. Montana is a lot like Wyoming with a few more hills, greenery and farming. We passed over so many nice canoeing rivers!! While I was driving, I spotted a "GREY FOX!" which quickly turned into a coyote and then "for sure a wolf" from our resident wolf expert, Steve (because he has seen Dances with Wolves). Whatever it was, it was very pretty and definitely wild.

Since we have still been getting up at the crack of dawn (yay!), Steve's mood has been a little...well..."sleepy." But I found a solution! While he is driving, we play "name that tune" with 80's music on Songza (an awesome app that let's you pick playlists based on multiple themes). This cheers him right up along with all of the "how did you know that!" compliments. One of his favorite playlists was "mustache music" which was a bunch of 70's "love-makin'" music.

Anyways...we finally reached Glacier National Park after driving 10+ hours. The kids have been doing so well in the car, and I complimented them yesterday on their lack of fighting and whining (whew...finally!) Little Dog got a little car sick, so he got to sleep in my lap most of the way.

Glacier National Park is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! We drove through Blackfeet Indian Reservation to get here and arrived at the park just in time to see a presentation by the Two Medicine Drum & Dance group. It was really good...we even did a "community dance" at the end with all of the dancers. Once of the elders that danced is holding his annual Sundance Ceremony right now down the street.

We got back to camp, bundled up (low in the 40's), ate and fell immediately to sleep. Today, we will spend the entire day here exploring the park before heading to Idaho tomorrow.
