We have our community yard sale this weekend. I have spent about 6 months clearing out the house, pricing items, & finally setting it up! Stephen got up with me this morning at 6am to check the weather radar...chance of thunderstorms (how can you have a "chance" of thunderstorms?) It looked like all of the rain was to the West of us, headed North...IT'S A GO! We happily put everything on the driveway by 7am. 7:02...it starts to lightly sprinkle, so we cover everything with tarps. 7:54...still sprinkling & no customers. We decide to bring everything into the garage. 8:08...10 people swarm our garage looking for deals! 8:30...skies clear, lots of customers, so we move some stuff back into the driveway. We have about 1.5 hours of shoppers & no rain. 10:00...large raindrops begin to fall from the sky (our "chance thunderstorm"), so we move everything back into the garage. 10:15...5 customers trying to look through our piles while we are saying, "manana, manana!!" 10:25...they are still bargaining with us! 10:30...I close the garage door.
Synopsis for the day...working a yard sale at 6am with my wonderful husband in the rain...priceless (well, worth the $90!)
