SNOW in Austin, Texas

So, I finally bought Stephen a bike. I have been promising to get him one for a couple of months now & finally found a really good deal! Keep it in mind that this picture was taken just 1 week ago.

Yes, it snowed in Austin, Texas!! We mainly experienced a huge ice storm (1/4-1/2 inch accumulation), but it did snow HUGE flakes for a couple of hours.
I find it funny that the warmest clothes Sam & Maya have are fleece jackets with hoods. This is what happens when 2 young children stay inside for 3 days during an ice storm. Do they list Cabin Fever under "Mental Illnesses"?

Joe & Cat tried to fly into Austin the day the airport was closed. Although, Cat's mom's flight wasn't canceled until the last minute. So, Jackson came to live with us for 1.5 days. It was fun having a temporary 3rd child.

Talking about having 3 children, Amanda Lemme (Smith) is pregnant with her 3rd child!!

So, the ice has melted & now we just have cold and rainy weather-UGGGH! But we have a beautiful new addition to our family-Clara! We adopted a 3 year old border collie mix from a family who rescued her from the shelter last year. She gets along with Otis very well & soaks up all of the love that Maya has to give her.
