First of all, he lost 3 teeth in 2 days!!
He also read his first book, Bears on Wheels, all the way through. He is now picking books off the shelves and reading them to me!! He has an amazing vocabulary for a six year old. Stephen and the kids were at a neighborhood Bar-b-que last weekend. They were watching the UT game, and the quarterback threw a pass out of bounds. Samuel was concerned that the cheerleaders may get hit, but reassured himself that they would be ok because they most likely stay a “reasonable distance” away from the sidelines! So cute!! He has also been keeping his room clean since the last time we cleaned it together a couple of weeks ago & makes his bed every morning (all on his own accord). He got a new pair of shoes the other day and he LOVES them. They are "reptile" shoes and have a rattle on the elastic, reptile eyes, scales of leather, diamond backs on the heel & a gecko footprint. How perfect is that??!! He loves them so much that after coming home from The Home Depot, he took his shoes in the bathroom to clean them up (bottoms and all).
Other pictures from this past month…
Sam & Maya were playing in a rainstorm the other day when a beautiful rainbow came out.

Stephen taught Samuel all about a car engine, how the wheels turn & the importance of oil. A true unschooling moment!!
