Maya's Update

Maya has also been very busy this last month. She started playing soccer for the first time & is already the star player on her team. She took her Grandpa’s advice to just focus on the ball and not worry about the other players. So, she gets in there with those big six year olds and kicks the ball. Better yet, she scored her first goal last week against some of the biggest boys in her league! She has decided to stop taking gymnastics while she is playing soccer, but really wants to start gymnastics again after soccer is done (especially since she got a new leotard at the Mommy & Me Sale).
Here are some other things she has been up to…
Maya wanted her hair black like Vi's from "The Incredibles", so we dyed it with henna (the most natural, nontoxic hair dye available). It came out dark....bluish, greenish, black. She was happy with it and is hopefully done with dying her hair until she's a teenager.

She has been climbing the little tree in our backyard & climbed to nearly the top the other day.

With all of the Halloween advertisements, Maya has been begging to paint her face. So, I tell them to get the paint out & take it outside. I quickly leave on errands leaving Daddy in charge :-)

These are just a couple of cute pics of my little girl growing up!
