First of all...what inspired me to blog was that we found brand new baby birds in the bird's nest this morning!! We looked up the birds in our Texas Bird Book and found out they are wrens. Samuel "tweeted" to get the babies to open their mouths for the picture :-)
Also, we observed a male wren making a nest in the birdhouse that Mary Elizabeth sent Samuel for Christmas!
To add to our Spring babies...Grandpa found a rabbit nest in his yard. We looked at them a couple of days ago. They are so cute! It takes a lot of control not to pick them up & cuddle them.
Well, I wanted to go camping on the beach for my birthday this year, so we did! We had a great day on the beach & dinner at a yummy restaurant...THEN...the storm arrived. The winds were roaring, rain was pouring & the temperatures dropped to the 40's. So, we decided to pack it up and head home a few days early.
Mom & Dad ended up spending the night with us and celebrating an "indoor" Easter party. It was a very relaxing & nice weekend.
Of course, the weather cleared up and got up the 80's the following week. This was good, because we had a home school day at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. We met some new friends, Flor & Trent, who are also part of Den 10! The kids had a great time running around & exploring.
