For all of you who know and love our sweet dog, Otis, he has been diagnosed with a malignant mast tumor that is moderately aggressive. The vet removed it, and it looks like he got all of it. This type of tumor has a tendency to go into the lymph system, so the vet will be monitoring him on a monthly basis. Right after the vet removed the golf ball sized tumor on his side, another one developed on his leg. The vet removed it while he was removing the sutures to his first surgery....uggggghhhh...too many visits to the vet! We will get the results of this new tumor in a week or so. Otis is actually doing very well, and you wouldn't know that he had gone through major surgery without seeing the 8 inch long scar on his side.
