So, we spent 2 nights in the Davis Mountains. The first night was very cold!! The next morning, the kids, Stephen and Otis went for a very long and adventerous hike. Maya ended the trip with a tumble into a cactus :-(
We went to the McDonald Observatory the next night and enjoyed their Twilight program (all 4 of us were the model planets for the presentation) and Star Party.
Although there were way too many clouds to even see the moon, we enjoyed a BEAUTIFUL sunset!!!
I was craving a hot shower when we got home, but I encountered a family of ROUS (Rodents Of Unusual Size)!!! I was not as brave as Princess Buttercup and Wesley and jumped into my very safe metal coach to drive the 400 feet to the bathroom.
