Maya, Maya, Maya

Maya has had some exciting moments this past week while Samuel was at Cub Scout Day Camp. First of all, it was very nice to spend one-on-one time with Maya throughout the week. She was very pleasant to be with & we had some great quality time.

In Maya fashion, she casually walks up to me to say that she has lost a tooth! Unlike the long drawn out tooth wiggling that Samuel goes through, Maya identifies a loose tooth one day and it falls out the next. So...this is her first tooth lost (naturally-she had one pulled when she was 3).

Also this week she was very anxious to ride her bike on some trails. I started her out on the 1 mile loop at the Veloway. This is a bike/roller blade path that is very wide and fully paved. After the first mile, she was ready to go further. We ended up going 3 miles!

Her next adventure was to bike on a dirt trail. I decided to take her to a small dirt/granite crumble path near our house. About .25 mile into the ride she crashed & burned. She scraped up her knee and elbow pretty badly. There was quite a bit of blood, so she is now scared of dirt trails...too bad! But I am sure that our little adventurer will soon want to try a dirt path again.
