Another road trip

I am going to record our next road trip here. We will be leaving around June 23 and returning to Austin around July 18th. My mom's side of the family is having a reunion in Port Angeles, Washington July 1-4. We will be visiting as many national parks as possible between here and there.

I thought it would be fun to also record all of the preparation it takes for one of these trips, too.

First off...we have to find willing people to take care of our pets...5 chickens (Thelma, Dotty, Maybelle, Buttercup & Clementine), 2 dogs (Bella & Rex), 2 cats (Max & Mattie), 2 fish (Goldilocks & Heather), tortoise (SirEna), 2 frogs (Sir Flippersalot & Morgan le Frog). We have already found a temporary home for Bella, our doberman, with the Eason's who live on 10 acres in Dripping Springs. Bella stayed with them before and is very happy to be going back. They have two kids that will love her a lot. We have also decided to take Rex a.k.a Little Dog with us on the trip, mainly because he is little and to also take some "pet love" with us.

Next will be to secure a house sitter and clean said house ;)

We are also planning our route and have secured a set budget for this trip (first time ever!)
