We spent some time this morning with some Trash-N-Friends. We joined a local Roots & Shoots group (follow the link on the side), and our first field trip was to the Austin Ecology Action Recycing Center. We learned all about recycling paper, plastic, glass & cardboard. We saw the cardboard crusher in action, watched the fork lift dump, saw the glass crusher, took a ride on the bicycle trailer and met the worm family. It was fun.
We also took pictures of our good friends, Joanna, Samantha & Johnny. Samuel & Samantha finally became friends again after walking on rough waters since their first visit a few months ago. They all ended up playing indoor kickball. Somehow, Samuel & Samantha ended up on the same team and kept giving eachother high fives. By the end of the day, Samuel said that that's all it took to become friends with Samantha-whew!
Off to clean the house...
